1922: Union High School and the original gym are constructed for a cost of $100,000.
1932: Oregon governor (1967–1974) and environmentalist Tom McCall graduates from Union High School
1944: The original gym is destroyed by arson on May 1.
1944: The current gym building is constructed.
1952: A stage area is added to the west end of the building.
1971: Redmond High School opens and the old Union High School becomes Redmond Junior High.
1999: The school becomes Evergreen Elementary School.
2009: Evergreen Elementary is closed and the building put up for sale by the Redmond School District.
2010: The city buys the school property, including the gym, with plans to renovate the main building into a new City Hall.
2016: The Evergreen Cultural Arts Committee is formed with the mission “Redevelop the Evergreen School Gymnasium into a cultural arts center featuring a performing arts space, theater, gallery, classrooms, studios, and a non-profit arts incubator.”
2016 May 18: Public Tip-Off Meeting to gather community input and support.
2016 June 2: University of Oregon Sustainable Cities presentation of proposal for Evergreen Cultural Arts non-profit organization.
2017: The new Redmond City Hall opens in the renovated school building.
202?: Evergreen Cultural Arts Center opens.
